Intern
May - August 2023 • Rensselaer, NY
What I liked
The company culture was generally very nice and laid back. I had a personal issue come up during the summer and the company was very flexible about it. There were lots of events both on campus and outside of working hours. Large intern cohort so there were lots of opportunities to network and meet new people.
What I wish was different
We were given little information about our roles/projects before starting. Also, the entire experience was spent working on one project, so while it was nice that we were able to get a deep understanding of what we were working on, it was hard to get to know other parts of the company.

Post Marketing Operations Intern
May - August 2023 • Troy, NY
What I liked
I liked that I was the driver of my own project. I could go to my manager whenever I needed help or support, but I was the one in control of the day-to-day and the progress of the project. Also, the people were fantastic! The interns and full-time employees I met were all incredibly nice and helpful. Everyone was there to help each other instead of being in competition with one another.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more of a focus on the implementation of my project. Sadly, due to timelines, I was only able to get through the development phase and I would have liked the opportunity to see the whole project through to the end.
Advice
Be flexible! Regeneron has so many opportunities if you choose to take advantage of them! Network with everyone you meet, even if they are in a different department. You never know if you will like their department better and want to transfer over one day.

Summer intern
May - August 2023 • Rensselaer, NY
What I liked
The culture Regeneron has created for their employees is very positive and includes lots of fun benefits that I haven't seen at any other companies. I also loved the opportunities to hear directly from patients about their experiences with Regeneron's drug products.
What I wish was different
I wish I was tasked with more work, as I often found myself ahead of the game with nothing to do.
Advice
Explore different departments when you have time, and do not be afraid to ask questions.

Intern
June - August 2022 • Tarrytown, NY
What I liked
The mentorship experience I received at Regeneron was the insight into the professional world I needed in the field of biotechnology. The team I worked with gave me continuous support and guidance as I develop my project that would be adopted by the company even after I left. This mentorship came in the form of both technical understanding of the project and professional development.

Sample management intern
May - August 2022 • Tarrytown, NY
What I liked
I really enjoyed the company.
What I wish was different
I did not like that my manager did jot give me set items and tasks to do each day, left me confused on how what to do.
Advice
Definitely work for this company and look at all the departments, there are options for everyone!

Quality Control Intern
May - August 2022 • Tarrytown, NY
What I liked
Every intern works directly alongside an employee whom they are personally selected by. That personalization made my summer feel very productive since I was able to experience what working at the company was really like. Each intern is also expected to contribute to a project in Regeneron's pipeline, so you get actual hands-on experience.
What I wish was different
Regeneron does not offer housing for their interns (though they do give stipends) and the UR team did not communicate housing options in a timely manner. If you accept an offer from Regeneron, start looking for housing early.
Advice
Work hard and network hard. The employees at Regeneron genuinely appreciate and support their interns. If you do good work and network well with the employees you work alongside (or even employees from other departments) there's a very real chance you'll get return offer.

Protein Biochemistry Research Intern
June - August 2017 • Tarrytown, NY
What I liked
I liked that I got a better understanding of how the pharmaceutical industry worked as well as the process of drug development.
What I wish was different
I wish the projects had been more substantial. Me and many people I was interning with felt that we were an extra pair of hands for experiments. I did learn a lot, but
Advice
This is a pretty chill internship if you're looking into one. It's a fun experience in New York and good insight into the workings of large/growing company, but the day to day work isn't the most exciting.

Pre-Clinincal Manufacturing and Process Development Co-op
January - August 2021 • Tarrytown, NY
What I liked
I loved that I was treated like a full time employee. I got a lot of varying responsibilities and got to work with engineers on my team in Resource Management and Operations as well as worked very closely with PMPD project management as Research Program Managers.
What I wish was different
My entire position was remote. While I still had a great experience, I would have loved to be able to go into the office at least once.
Advice
Network Network Network! If you co-op or intern with Regeneron, do not be afraid to reach out to any full time employee and see if they are willing to have a 30 minute coffee chat. Nearly everyone I asked said yes and I got some really incredible advice and got to meet so many people.

Consumer Marketing Intern
May - August 2021 • Tarrytown, NY
What I liked
I liked the people I worked with, the projects I worked on and did research for, and how easy it was to network with people within the company and outside the company, like all the agencies my team works with.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been invited to go to more virtual meetings earlier on. My boss was afraid I would feel overwhelmed by having a calendar full of meetings starting my first week, but I would have preferred it that way!
Advice
Reach out to anyone whose job sounds interesting to you! I reached out to have one-on-one meetings with lots of people internally in addition to each agency my team worked with and I learned so much from them.

I enjoyed learning a new software and the culture at Regeneron. Regeneron values their interns and takes many steps to ensure they have a great experience!
What I wish was different
I wish it had been in person, it was moved remote due to Covid-19. However, I am grateful my manager and the university relations team took many steps to ensure interns still had a fulfilling experience.
Advice

Combination Products Intern
June - August 2020 • Rensselaer, NY
What I liked
The company culture was amazing! The employees all seemed to have a passion for what they were doing and were aware of the impact they could have on the world. Additionally, the projects were very meaningful for the company and it was nice to see they are passionate about developing and using employee skillsets.
What I wish was different
Due to the pandemic the internship was remote. I wish it was in person because we would always hear about life at Regeneron and it made the interns jealous!
Advice
Regeneron was really big into feedback! Whether it was for employee interaction or the company wide Q and A session we were able to attend. Part of the Regeneron Way is "doing what's right" and constant feedback is a big part of that. Be both open to receiving feedback and willing to give it because it will make a difference!

What I liked
I had a great experience working with Regeneron, and especially how well developed their intern program is. The intern program was really engaging, including weekly lunch and learns with senior leadership members, professional development seminars, and fun activities like trivia. I worked on a new project under my manager that contributed to the department, and I felt like my work was valued.

Advice
Besides the career fairs at Stony Brook, consider going to the Society of Women Engineers conference career fair. The career fair is A LOT larger than Stony Brook's career fair and a lot of big name companies are there.

What I liked
The people and the science behind our work. The science was engaging while the people around you made work a real pleasure.

I would have liked to have understood the process pipeline across the company earlier in my co-op. Seeing how everything ties together is very interesting and would have benefited the learning experience had I learned of it sooner.
