What I liked

The variety of work I was exposed to and the contacts I made both internally and externally. It also gave me a better idea of what the actual work life is at the firm and I loved it.

What I wish was different

A little more exposure to tax return simulations on the tax side of the internship, I recognized that during the summer time actual returns are scarce but having more simulations with made up amounts would have been nice.

Advice

You make the most of the internship, be proactive, ask for work and they will provide. It was a fantastic experience and I am looking forward to spending time there in the future. They offered a lot of networking event opportunities that I took advantage of and made several connections, most of which I still keep in contact with.

Audit/Tax Intern

What I liked

I was able to get a good perspective of what auditi g looks like versus tax which is helping me choose my career path. The people were also gret.

What I wish was different

Well, I wish i got an offer. Outside of that, i wasbt able to see alot of projecta through on the audit side which would have been nice. There was also one associate who I didnt get a connection with.

Advice

Be a sponge. Ask questions but be totally accepting of answers. Dont interupt and just except whatever aswers you get to your questions. You can still ask to clarify though.

What I liked

I really liked the work I got. I felt like I worked on a variety of different projects and when I mentioned I was interested in something, they were very helpful in getting me that kind of project.

What I wish was different

At first, I didn't feel like the people were very friendly. Only my buddy talked to me and people wouldn't make eye contact in the hallways. Also, the other interns were a bit of a mixed bag but I feel like you'll get that at any internship.
