EV Developer Internship Overview
The EV Development Internship at ULimo offers students and emerging engineers the opportunity to contribute to the future of sustainable transportation. Interns will assist in the research, design, and development of electric limousine and party bus systems—working closely with leadership and engineers to explore battery technology, power systems, hardware integration, and energy efficiency. This internship is ideal for students pursuing careers in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, hardware development, or clean energy innovation.
Development & Design Focus
Assist in designing electric drive systems, battery modules, and charging infrastructure
Collaborate on schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system layouts
Participate in prototype testing, data collection, and iterative hardware improvements
Research emerging technologies and industry standards for electric vehicle platforms
Contribute ideas toward creating a scalable, efficient, and innovative EV fleet for the transportation space
Key Skills & Traits
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Strong interest in EV systems, clean tech, and transportation innovation
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and circuit simulation software (e.g., LTspice, MATLAB)
Basic understanding of power electronics, battery management systems, and vehicle dynamics
A problem-solving mindset, hands-on mentality, and ability to work in a collaborative, startup-driven environment
