Associate Environmental Podcast Producer & Interviewer for One Planet Podcast, traveling exhibition and international non-profit educational initiative

Internship, Externship, and Project-Based Opportunities Adaptable to your Schedule

JOURNALISM - Interviews, Editorial, and Podcasts with notable climate scientists, green groups, environmentalists, and policymakers, alongside notable faculty from your university. Artists, writers and creative thinkers who have participated in The Creative Process include a number of Nobel Prize, Pulitzer, Oscar, Emmy, Goldman Environmental Prize, Tony, and other award winners.

This role involves co-hosting and post-production. You are helping create full length episodes and in-depth interviews. For examples of the kind of interviews you’ll be hosting with environmentalist, artists, and changemakers, listen to our Environmental and Arts episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever your podcasts.

Location: Your city & remote team collaboration. Opportunities for both remote and in-person interviews are available.

Time Period: Participation is entirely flexible and adaptable to your schedule. This is an ongoing international project, so whether you're available now or later in the year, let us know, and we can work around your availability. Year-round opportunities exist to collaborate with us on a flexible basis.

Application Process: This position is offered on a rolling basis, with applications reviewed and interviews conducted continuously. While there is a deadline listed, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as positions may be filled before the deadline.

Skillset: All Levels Welcome - BA or Graduate Students

A background in journalism, environmental studies, or audio production is helpful but not a requirement.

All Disciplines Welcome

All collaboration is appreciated and is completely adaptable to your core skills. We have collaborated with students from a variety of disciplines, including STEM, arts, business, and communications. What is most essential is to be curious, have initiative and a desire to learn.

A number of our participating students have discovered through The Creative Process that they excel in areas outside their field of study and have gone on to jobs in those disciplines.

Additional Information: How will I be credited? What will I receive?

Depending on the period of collaboration, The Creative Process is counted as a class. Interns/Externs receive work experience and class credits. Please contact your university’s Internship or Experiential Learning Department for more information.

Interns/Externs and Project-Based Participants are acknowledged in podcasts, our website, the traveling exhibition, and written editorials.

We will also write letters of recommendation or evaluation for students. Participating universities and institutions host The Creative Process during their important festivals and conferences. Naturally, all participants will be invited to attend.
