The SECC selects young adults, ages 18-30, to complete conservation service projects on public lands throughout the Southeast. SECC programs encourage environmental stewardship, foster community partnerships, and emphasize experiential learning. Site Description: Founded in 1951, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a global conservation organization dedicated to conserving the lands and waters on which life depends. Guided by science, we create innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world's toughest challenges so that nature and people can thrive together. Serving in 72 countries, including all 50 United States, we use a collaborative approach that engages local communities.
