Alpine is a small consultancy focused on high-integrity solutions for our clients' technical challenges 

Alpine Consulting Partners is a full-service Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Financial Transformation, and Analytics consultancy founded in 2016 by Virginia Tech alumni. Our goal is to provide excellent service to our clients, making their goals our own and helping them create solutions for complex opportunities and challenges. 
 

Federal, state, commercial, and non-profit / education sector experiences 

Based in Washington DC, the core of our business involves delivering solutions for federal and state agencies such as the U.S. Census Bureau, Commodities and Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), House of Representatives, and Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA). In addition to government delivery, we work with commercial organizations such as Coca-Cola, Skanska, Broadridge Financial, and life sciences / pharmaceutical companies. Beyond our commitments in federal, state, and commercial work, we have delivered solutions for several educational and non-profit organizations including the Rhode Island Department of Education, North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness, and Wreaths Across America. 
 

Developing skills and growing our firm 

To deliver expert financial, analytics, and web-based solutions for our clients, we focus on cultivating our team's skills through conferences and trainings that allow us to bring best practices to our clients and network across the industry. We are seeking team members who are hungry to learn new skills and share their findings across our team. Our firm regularly hosts events local to DC to meet up with the team for food / activities or to collaborate on proof of concepts and other firm development. Each year, we plan a company retreat to celebrate the team's growth and engage in team-building activities to garner excitement for the upcoming year. 

 

Technologies we implement 

Our practitioners have developed expertise across several technologies and subject areas while designing, managing, and implementing all phases of project delivery. Team members should expect to have client-facing interactions as well as hands-on technology implementation experiences within each of our projects. We strive to develop functional and technical skillsets in new team members for end-to-end solution delivery. Examples of our core technologies are listed below: 

  • Financial Systems & Solutions: Enterprise and Corporate Performance Management (EPM / CPM) tools offer Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), budget officers, and financial analysts with solutions to plan their budgets, forecast financial performance, and analyze drivers of profitability. These tools include the suite of Oracle EPM solutions, Anaplan, Kepion, Workiva, and more. 
  • Analytics: Decision-makers demand access to timely and interactive data analysis to meet their organization's goals. We design and implement solutions using Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and related technologies for clients in our financial systems portfolio as well as clients across several sectors. 
  • Data Transformation and Management: The timely, efficient, and secure storage and transformation of data is a key enabling factor and differentiator for many of the technical solutions we implement. We utilize Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Workiva / OneCloud, AWS services, UiPath, scripting / stored procedures, and related technologies to automate data transformation for our clients. In addition to these technologies, we implement solutions related to Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). 
  • Infrastructure and Web Development: We seek a ground-up understanding of each client's needs, and that often starts with the infrastructure on which technical solutions are hosted. Our practitioners possess knowledge of on-premises server technology and networking as well as cloud services and offerings (e.g. SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). In particular, our team holds expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless web development solutions.
