Job Description:
We are seeking a co-op scientist to join the Discovery Biology team at the Branford, CT site. Based on level, the recruitee will assist experienced scientists to either learn or refine molecular biology and mammalian cell culture techniques and gain independence towards conducting experimentation in an HIV focused laboratory. The position is on site and for a period of 6-12 months.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field.
- Experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 6 to 12-month co-op (January ~ June 2025).
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in Molecular Cloning
- Experience with biosafety level 2 containment
- Handling HIV and performing virus replication cell based assays are a plus

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
