Overview / Duties:

Data Analyst Intern will interpret, extract and record pertinent information sourced from energy news, websites, investor
presentations, 10Qs and 10Ks in order to build our data library. Candidate will combine existing and newly learned energy
domain knowledge with basic data skills to perform daily tasks shown below:
1. Evaluate and describe energy assets using all available information (reserves, production, renewables, financials, etc.)
2. Highlight and summarize activities such as new contracts, project development plans, construction projects, etc.
3. Understand and notate details of global energy M&A / A&D activities
4. Identify data gaps and take appropriate initiative to gather new intelligence
5. Assist with QC development for detecting common errors to improve data quality
6. Collaborate with GIS Analysts to assist in digitizing new assets and areas
7. Provide feedback for progress tracking, improvements, new classification categories and highlight new metrics for
energy business performance evaluation

8. Perform SQL and No SQL queries, design ETLs, design charting, maps, ML, AI, Big Data, etc. to generate
extraordinary insights from our proprietary energy data
9. Work with Systems Analysts to influence technology choices, design data structures and modify systems
10. Potential to consult at large energy firms under our direction

Typical Minimum Requirements:

 Pursuing B.S. in Energy / Petroleum Engineering / Geoscience / Renewables / Data Analytics
 Familiarity with energy terminology, data entry, databases, queries, Esri ArcGIS, Microsoft Office and basic
computing (advanced computing for growth / role advancement)
