Job Summary

The Project Management Intern will gain experience in a cross-functional, matrix environment and be exposed to the project lifecycle including pre-evaluation/selection, project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects.  Project types range from strategic to technical and may include new product introductions or continuous improvement initiatives contributing to successful site operations at our Wilson, NC facility.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution by partnering with project managers to lead project activities and deliverables.
• Learn and assist with coordination, improvement, and training on project management tools, templates, and processes.
• Participation in site Gemba walks and cross-functional meetings as a core team member and contributor, proposing and implementing small-scale solutions/improvements.

Requirements:

• Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
• Our internships are unable to accommodate OPT. 
• Interns are responsible for their own housing.
• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering program
• Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program
• Must be planning to return to school at the end of the summer break
• Must be solution-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. Experience with digital tools and systems is a plus.
