Summer Intern/Medical Affairs & Information

Department Description:

The US Medical Affairs provide important medical and scientific education to health care professionals in the United States. The Daprodustat team within the US Medical affairs team is dedicated to developing and executing the medical strategy to support Daprodustat for patients with anemia of chronic kidney disease on Dialysis to be ambitious for patients and to get ahead of disease together.

Job Description:

  • Work collaboratively with Medical Affairs team providing support in ongoing projects.
  • Assist in developing innovative educational opportunities across the spectrum of HCPs.
  • Participate in medical content development and creation of communication materials.
  • Contribute to portions of operational planning (depending on timing of internship)
  • Engage with various other functions within the larger Matrix team (Medical Information, VEO) as schedule permits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biology OR pursuing a PharmD.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 12 week internship (May/June - August).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, curious, organized, and able to learn and ask questions
  • Strong learning agility and team player
  • Strong written and communication skills

Benefits:

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position. 
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
