Intern, Parenteral Filling Manufacturing

Summary 

This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2024. Resume review begins in January 2024. 

 

This position will support the Parenteral Filling (PF) Manufacturing. This department is responsible for production of pharmaceutical products as well as support for manufacturing operations at Biogen.  This department has many functions such as managing schedules and documentation for the production areas, coordination of components and materials and only the floor GMP manufacturing support.  This department needs a detailed oriented Manufacturing Support Specialist, who can look at the overall process and help to address gaps or pain points in the process.

 

Position Description 

Detailed description of role including but not limited to: 

Coordination of support of GMP Manufacturing operations 

Management of inventories 

Review of manufacturing processes 

 

Example projects may include: 

Review/Evaluate/Redesign Manufacturing Inventory System 

Develop and formalize changeover and performance check procedures 

Develop and assess Manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 

 

Qualifications: 

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) 

Knowledge of Aseptic Processes 

Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) 

 

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 

At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date 

Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university 

 

Education 

Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree (Scientific Discipline preferred)
