Internship- Corporate Roles

We encourage rising seniors to join our Corporate Internship Program this summer. Deep dive into a key area of the business and learn from experts in the field: Audit and Finance & Accounting (Financial Services) or Talent Management, Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist (Human Resources) or Payroll & HRIS. At successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to apply and participate in the NextGen Corporate Rotational Program, full time in Miami, FL. We encourage all incoming Interns to understand Lennar and our Corporate roles through exceptional mentorship and leadership efforts. 


Responsibilities

 

Overview of Internship Responsibilities: 

 

Financial Service

 

Audit

  • Assist in conducting financial, internal control, compliance, and operational audits.
  • Analyze business processes for effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Prepare and present to management the results, recommendations, and conclusions of internal audit reviews.
  • Document narratives and test results to support findings.

 

Finance and Accounting

  • Performs due diligence and prepares financial models relating to various transactions.
  • Assists in performing operational and accounting processes and controls.
  • Assists in financial reporting compliance.

 

Human Resources

Talent Management

Objective: Understand and support the development and engagement of our workforce.

  • Collaborate with HR leaders to design and implement talent development initiatives.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including goal-setting and performance evaluations.
  • Help lead the feedback touchpoints and cadence.
  • Support leadership development initiatives, including training program coordination and management.
  • Assist in early career strategy and program updating.

 

Talent Acquisition

Objective: Learn the art of recruiting and acquiring top talent for our organization.

  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create job descriptions.
  • Conduct candidate sourcing, screening, and interviews.
  • Participate in employer branding and campus recruitment activities.
  • Analyze recruitment data and contribute to process improvements.

 

HR Generalist

Objective: Gain a holistic understanding of HR operations and employee relations.

  • Provide support for HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters.
  • Assist in benefits administration and employee onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Handle employee inquiries, concerns, and HR-related issues.
  • Contribute to HR analytics and reporting.
  • Participate in HR projects, such as HRIS implementation or process optimization.

 

Compensation

Objective: Gain a deep understanding of compensation strategies and practices.

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies.
  • Participate in compensation benchmarking and market analysis.
  • Support annual compensation reviews, salary surveys, and pay equity analysis.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams on budgeting and forecasting for compensation.
  • Contribute to the development of incentive and bonus programs.

 

Benefits

Objective: Learn the intricacies of employee benefits management.

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, and wellness plans.
  • Support benefits enrollment and provide guidance to employees on benefit-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with vendors and brokers to ensure the delivery of quality benefits.
  • Assist in benefits compliance and reporting, including ACA and ERISA regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of employee well-being initiatives.

 

Payroll/HRIS 

Payroll

Objective: Gain proficiency in payroll administration and compliance.

  • Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify time and attendance records and address payroll discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to implement payroll policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Provide support for payroll audits and reporting.

 

HRIS

Objective: Learn to manage and optimize HR information systems.

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HRIS software and databases.
  • Support data entry, data quality assurance, and data analytics within HRIS.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and optimize functionality.
  • Assist in training HR staff on HRIS software and reporting tools.
  • Contribute to HR data analysis and reporting.

 


Qualifications

 

Qualifications 

  • Studying at a 4-year college or University as a rising senior.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Understanding of business and management principles.
  • Thorough understanding of technology used in the company.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Must possess professional attitude to represent the company in a positive manner.

Physical Requirements 

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
