Summer Co-op/Research Formulation Science

Department Description:

IVIVT is a Clinical Translation Platform supporting the Research Units within the Research, Oncology, and Global Health organizations. The team will provide expertise in nonclinical models, bioimaging, DMPK, bioanalysis, biomarkers, immunogenicity, safety, and drug disposition in support of nonclinical and clinical studies spanning target identification through post-approval of medicines.

Job Description:

In this 6-month position, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a Research Formulation Scientist in a lab-based environment.
  • Support In Vivo studies by preparing formulations for dosing. 
  • Help with compound inventory, laboratory set-up and data review to develop an understanding of GLP principles.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar disciplines.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the assignment.
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented with focus on quality, time management, and organizational skills.
  • High levels of integrity, flexibility, and responsibility.

Benefits:

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
