TSMC Arizona is looking for an Environment, Health, and Safety – Environmental intern to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC Arizona’s ISEP (Industrial Safety Environmental Protection) is responsible for ensuring the Fab is in full compliance with all applicable environment, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, provide technical, regulatory and process guidance to address emerging EHS issues, and facilitate EHS training to enhance awareness for employees and contractors.

 

Job Description:

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting environmental impact assessments to evaluate the potential impact of processes on the environment. This includes analyzing potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate any negative effects.
  • Developing and implementing environmental management plans to assist in complying with environmental regulations and minimizing environmental impacts.
  • Providing technical expertise on environmental policy (local, state, and federal).

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in [one of] the following degree programs: Bachelors/Masters/PhD, Environmental Science, Chemistry
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location, from May 20th, 2024 – August 2nd, 2024.
  • Must be able to apply logical and scientific thinking principles to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions in controlled situations, and read and understand engineering plans and specifications.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, across functional departments and with external customers, contractors, and suppliers.
