Leadership Fellowship Marketing, Outreach, Operations, Teacher Support with a small non-profit rated #1 BEST Language Classes in DC!

We are currently accepting applications to our dynamic Leadership Fellowship (30-32+ hours per week).

This program is ideal for anyone looking to gain tangible skills in a wide-range of areas as well as hands-on experience of the day-to-day operations of an education-focused non-profit. This is great for building a network and building professional skills that give candidates more of an edge in the job market or keeping professional skills active while searching for jobs. Leadership Fellows work on one or more of our teams: Operations, Teacher Support, Outreach, or Marketing, and each of these small teams is led by a Leadership Fellow.

We understand everyone needs to pay their rent, but if you are able to invest in an unpaid fellowship, and you are in search of a meaningful experience where you can grow personally and professionally, while making a real difference, we would love to have you on our team.

Our Leadership Fellows view our program as a fantastic opportunity for a young professional, college student, or recent graduate to gain valuable skills and tools in personal and professional development while supporting our mission and programs.

We have seen Leadership Fellows grow a tremendous amount during their time with us, and we would argue that this experience is worth more than the experience one might gain by paying for vocational training or professional development education.

Some specific highlights of the Leadership Fellow experience include getting hands-on experience in fields relevant to their career goals and our many opportunities for personal and professional development such as our workshops, training, and Team Talks (a TED-style series that covers a range of topics related to personal growth in the professional world).

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain useful experience in a fun and diverse environment. You will build skills while making a difference and supporting a great cause!

Below is a basic description of each team’s role to help you understand which team might be a good fit for you:

Operations:

Develop your writing and communication skills. This is focused on the GLN Student and Volunteer experience and Operations Team members are constantly assisting students and volunteers and finding ways to make their GLN experience more valuable. This is a great way to get a hands-on experience with the day-to-day administration of a small non-profit.

Teacher Support:

Develop your cultural diplomacy and communication skills. This is focused on the GLN Teacher experience and Teacher Support Team members are constantly assisting GLN Teachers with training, class preparation, logistical support, and finding ways to make their GLN experience more valuable. This is a great way to be more involved with the education side.

Marketing:

Take the mission and vision of GLN and get it out there to the world! Start with creating social media content and then find meaningful ways to grow our network of teachers, students, partners, and volunteers by sharing GLN experiences and stories on public platforms and getting people talking about GLN, in DC and around the globe.

Outreach:

Take the mission and vision of GLN and bring it directly to organizations, companies, embassies, associations, and student groups by direct email, phone, and in-person outreach.
