Discover Impactful Work:

Our Organic and Oligo Chemistry team designs and develops dyes and synthesizes highly functionalized oligo constructs for evaluation in various R&D projects for potential new product development. In this role you will be involved in dye and oligo synthesis, purification, analysis and quality control for supporting R&D projects with oligonucleotide constructs.

A day in the Life:

  • Build electronic notebook protocols for keeping records of development activities and documentation to allow transfer of processes
  • Work in the laboratory on synthesis of oligonucleotides on DNA synthesizer
  • Carry out characterization, purification and analysis of oligonucleotides with HPLC, LC-MS and UV-VIS spectrometer
  • Write protocols and reports, present data, work with scientists from other groups

Keys to Success:

Education

  • We are looking for someone currently studying for a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or biotechnology between their 2nd and 4th year.
  • The candidate should have interest in chemistry and a passion for lab based work.
  • An extraordinary teammate with strong interpersonal skills and a drive to deliver results to tight schedules will be an ideal fit for our small team.

Experience

  • The successful candidate will have some prior experience in a chemistry laboratory

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $14.75–$45.75.

 

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
