Intern II - Stem Cell Biologist

Join our diverse team of scientists directly involved in the development and commercialization of pluripotent stem cell technologies. Anticipated activities include but are not limited to benchmarking studies and detailed technical analysis to identify novel candidate technologies and generating application data with new or current products applying a wide array of cell biology reagents, assays and analysis tools. Effective communications skills and experience working in a team environment is required. The successful candidate will be able to employ a diverse array of assays and analytical tools to address key biological questions that make up the framework of our product requirements. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail are a must. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate individual looking to play a meaningful role in creating next generation cell culture products and learning the product development process in a leading biotechnology company. Due to nature of projects, some weekend work may be required in order to maintain cell cultures and experimental or project timelines

A day in the Life:

Support product development and commercialization activities with a focus on pluripotent stem cells, participate in new technology evaluations and generate application data using current products to demonstrate new or novel functions.

Keys to Success:

Education

Requires enrollment in a college program, preferably Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related life sciences field with 0+ years of experience. Experience Preference given to candidates with industry and/or product development experience but this is not required.

Experience

  • Experience culturing stem cells is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced team environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity and use of common statistical approaches to data analysis
  • Highly organized, ability to maintain well documented laboratory protocols and notebooks.
