Summer Intern- New Business Development

ABOUT US:

Afton Chemical Corporation is part of the NewMarket Corporation (NYSE: NEU) family of companies, and is one of the largest global suppliers of lubricant additives and offers a broad line of fuel additives worldwide. 

JOB SUMMARY:

A summer internship at Afton Chemical will give a student exposure to our professional work environment and provide a learning experience where you can practically apply knowledge that has been gained in the classroom. With functional areas in chemistry and engineering, Afton recruits top students from all over the world. In this particular opportunity, you will conduct technology assessments and forecasting using published data to establish Afton’s baseline for market sector dynamics in key areas (e.g. chemical, energy, transportation).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Rising Sophomore or Junior
  • Studying Engineering or Physical Sciences
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to collaborate and network to problem solve
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong analytical skills
