GE Aerospace Research - Aerodynamics and CFD & Methods Fellow Internship

As a member of the Aerodynamics and CFD & Methods Team, you will be involved in developing numerical design tools and technology concepts in aerodynamic design for next generation of Aviation products. The Intern will draw upon an understanding and knowledge of aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and turbomachinery design to develop numerical tools of various fidelity for the different flow physics. Improve the design process to understand system level impacts and future aviation technology needs and opportunities.

An internship with us will provide valuable hands-on experience to help you launch your career in industrial research.  Intern assignments are typically for 12-14 weeks; working side by side with experts in the field of mechanical engineering, completing challenging technical projects and applying theoretical knowledge to real-life technical problems.  This program includes seminars on cross-center technology and soft skills development as well as opportunities for networking and showcasing project accomplishments.

 

Required Qualifications:

Current enrollment in a PhD Engineering program, majoring in Aerospace Engineering.

Permanent legal authorization to work in the US is required. 

Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0 scale
