GE Aerospace Research - Mechatronics Fellow Internship
As a Mechatronics Fellow Intern in the Mechanical Components and Systems Lab, you will have a role in advancing GE Aerospace’s capabilities in on-wing and confined space inspection and repair, automated component inspection, and/or automated manufacturing. You will support the design, analysis, prototyping, and/or testing of complete electromechanical solutions or custom end-effectors paired with commercial robots. In this hands-on role, you will support the product teams at the business to mature solutions that bring real value to our business and our customers.

An internship with us will provide valuable hands-on experience to help you launch your career in industrial research. Intern assignments are typically for 12-14 weeks; working side by side with experts in the field of mechanical engineering, completing challenging technical projects and applying theoretical knowledge to real-life technical problems. This program includes seminars on cross-center technology and soft skills development as well as opportunities for networking and showcasing project accomplishments.
Required Qualifications
Current enrollment in a full-time Ph.D. degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines at an ABET accredited university
Permanent legal authorization to work in the US is required.
Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0 scale
