GE Aerospace Research - Ceramics and Composites Fellow Internship

In the Ceramics and Composites Research Team, Fellow Interns work on a cross-disciplinary team on technologies for ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) and environmental barrier coatings (EBCs). Areas of focus include process development, process modeling, microstructure/property evaluation, thermo-mechanical behavior, and lifing.

An internship with us will provide valuable hands-on experience to help you launch your career in industrial research.  Intern assignments are typically for 12-14 weeks; working side by side with experts in the field of mechanical engineering, completing challenging technical projects and applying theoretical knowledge to real-life technical problems.  This program includes seminars on cross-center technology and soft skills development as well as opportunities for networking and showcasing project accomplishments.  
 

Required Qualifications

Current enrollment in a full-time Ph.D. degree program in Material Science & Engineering or related disciplines at an ABET accredited university

Permanent legal authorization to work in the US is required. 

Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0 scale
