What you can expect from H.B. Fuller's Internship Program:
You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns into the following positions: Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more.
The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. We also offer an established path for next-level opportunities - making this internship the starting point for a long-term career path.
Internship Location: Maple Grove, MN.
Our Internship Experience includes:
12-week paid program beginning the end of May to mid-August to gain insight and knowledge in your field.
Interactive orientation and events with skilled professionals in your field, including managers, directors, and CEO.
Multiple networking, volunteer and fun events – both virtual and in-person.
Impactful projects that make a difference internally and externally for H.B. Fuller.
End of summer final presentation to showcase your career development with support from managers and peers.
The individual performs routine sample preparations and prescriptive analyses following the direction of Analysts and/or Project Managers. Individuals in this position will communicate primarily internally. The position reports to the laboratory manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain laboratory work areas in an orderly fashion
Train on one major platform under the guidance of an analyst
Perform routine testing as requested
Prepare samples for testing following written or verbal instructions
Provide results of testing using report templates such as Excel files, Word Documents, etc.
Fax or Email results of testing to customers after internal review and approval
Follow all ISO 17025 and GLP procedures and quality systems
Follow all Safety Procedures
Job Requirements:
Completion of at least the sophomore year of studies in a science related field, preferably chemistry.
Attention to details
Willingness to cooperate with fellow associates and to learn new techniques
Functional in Excel and Word
Able to do basic mathematical manipulations such as algebra and basic geometry
Technical Knowledge:
Basic wet chemistry and/or instrumental techniques relevant to laboratory operations
Practical understanding of basic laboratory safety and hazards.
Leadership:
Collaborates with and works effectively with associates
Maintains a respectful and safe working environment
Supports organizational led changes
Effective listener and learner
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on college major.
