Junior Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary:
As a Junior Assistant Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and implementing the delivery of quality software applications. This internship will provide the opportunity to learn about Project Management, facilities software used solely by higher education, and Information Technology. You will work on projects that will give you hands-on experience with myriad of IT software and tools, project management methodology, business analysis, quality assurance and change management. The opportunity will allow you to sharpen your communication and problem-solving skills in a business environment. You will also gain firsthand knowledge and experience of working with a software development company and while learning how to implement software at various higher education institutions.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with team members, actively participate in discussions, decisions, and all project activity. Be able to work with a team and as an individual.
- Communicate and coordinate with coworkers and customers.
- Scheduling of resources, planning and forecasting work.
- Assist project managers with administrative tasks.
- Monitor and control projects; assist with status meetings with delivery of status reports.
- Execute project task deliverables, such as training, training materials, data conversion, documentation of processes and system related setup, etc.
- Work closely with services team members to achieve implementation goals.
- Support project managers in managing schedules and milestones; ensuring that weekly project statuses are received from team members.
- Documenting resourcing needs, availability and commitments.
- Identifying and managing scope, constraints, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and deadlines; documenting risk mitigation plans.
- Assisting with documentation and other project deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Pursuit of a Bachelor of Science or Arts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Great MS Office or equivalent skills.
- Interested in technology and/or project management; related experience is desired.
- Familiarity with iWMS and higher education facilities (universities/colleges) recommended.
- Must be able to complete projects with limited supervision. Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Motivated, proactive, and pride in one’s work.
- Strong interpersonal skills to actively listen and communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Easily adapt to varied roles on teams from follower to leader. Change approach or method to best fit the situation.
- Programming experience (basic SQL, Report development, Javascript, java, etc.) is optional.
