CO-OP - CRL Process Technology

Join a dynamic team developing sustainability solutions in the areas of hydrogen production and CO2 capture. The Co-Op will work alongside Saint-Gobain engineers to scale new air electrode materials through the production, processing, and testing of high temperature steam electrolysis stacks. A major focus will be on linking microstructure characteristics to performance metrics and then optimizing the forming parameters to improve the performance. To accomplish this, the candidate will be a participating member of group meetings to discuss results and plan next steps as well as performing experiments in the lab and directly measuring the results. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Sample production; slurries, dry pressing, casting, extrusion of samples
  • Sintering; sample set up, furnace operation
  • Sample characterization; density measurement, microscopy, SEM
  • Data analysis and reporting; plotting data, report writing, presentation preparation, open discussion

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or similar field.
