Marketing Coordinator

POSITION OVERIVEW:
The Data-Driven Marketing Coordinator position is a two-year rotational within the Marketing Development Program that introduces the individual to various facets of the GEICO Marketing Department, focusing on customer-centric marketing optimization and analytics. The rotation begins within the Business Planning & Strategy group, followed by the Marketing Analytics group, and finally the Growth & Journey Marketing team across both prospecting and customer lifecycle.
The Marketing Coordinator role is responsible for successfully supporting marketing initiatives while ensuring deadlines, brand guidelines and budgets are adhered to. The role works cross functionally with internal teams and external partners to meet key business goals and develop marketing ideas.
Collaboration and confidence will be critical to the success of this role. Our marketing organization is rapidly evolving and integrating new functions – so it is important you are comfortable with a high level of interoperability across various internal and external teams to produce solutions as well as developing new methods.
This position will initially report into the Director, Marketing Business Planning with executive sponsorship from the VP, Analytics and VP, Growth & Journey Marketing.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Marketing internships and/or Marketing coursework experience
  • Strong operator of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong aptitude for quantitative analysis, statistics and logic
  • Major in business, mathematics, or a related marketing field of study is strongly preferred 
  • Experience in one of the following languages: SAS, SQL, VBA, Python or R  
  • Experience in working in a professional environment in-person and/or remotely
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. 
  • Travel 10% of the time, within the US
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make recommendations to internal GEICO teams
