Summer Counselor for Students with Disabilities

June - August
M-F 8 to 4
Responsibilities:
Students will be working in a group setting helping to facilitate activities with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their peers.  Students will be role models for middle and high school campers as well as their peer buddies!
Students must:
1.      Help set up and facilitate various activities
2.      Supervise and manage campers and peers in a variety of settings.
3.      Participate in field trip activities alongside campers and peer buddies.
4.      Participate in on site behavior training.
5.      Be familiar with behavior plans and procedures.
6.      Maintain confidentiality about all clients.
7.      Maintain data and assist in the collection of where appropriate.
8.      Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
 
Qualifications:
1.      Be enrolled at a post- secondary institution.
2.      Have an interest in working with young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders
3.      Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
GPA 3.0 and above preferred
