R006894 2023 Graduate Intern - Electrical Systems Assurance Engineer

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Graduate-level Electrical Systems Assurance Engineer Intern for an opportunity to join for the Electrical Systems Assurance Department. Within the department resides expertise of radiation survivability in space and its applicability to the operations of electronic hardware for National Security space missions.

Work Model:
This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA

What You'll Be Doing
  • Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs within radiation survivability of microelectronics analysis and testing for potential space applications.
  • Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
  • Training and mentorship will be provided.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Science, Technical, Engineering, Math or related program.
  • Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program after completion of the internship. 
  • First Year Graduate completed by internship start date.  
  • Experience with ThTk, MCNP, CRÈME, SNRTACS ,SGEMP, FASTRAD a plus.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. 
  • Transcripts are required for this position.
