Co-op, Parenteral Filling Manufacturing

Summary:
This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2023. Resume review begins in January 2023.

In Parenteral Filling (PF) Manufacturing, we are responsible for manufacturing the end-to-end Drug Product process that includes component preparation, compounding, filling, visual inspection and packaging of drug product. Position Description 
  • This role will support the PF manufacturing team in the following focus areas: Detailed description of role including but not limited to:
  • Gaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manufacturing Experience in PF
  • Leading process improvement projects that support the manufacturing operations
  • Daily Manufacturing Coordination such as Data Management, Manufacturing Support and Continuous Improvements, Equipment Coordination.

Example projects may include:
  • Supporting component preparation efficiency improvements
  • Working with support groups like Manufacturing Technical Operations, Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Validation to meet production demands
  • Support Manufacturing Coordination group with data entry as needed
  • Time and Motion Studies

Qualifications: 
  • Safety-first mindset with great communication skills
  • Interested in a hands-on experience in a GMP facility
  • Able to speak one’s mind and team-oriented
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow company standard operating procedures and policies

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Education 
Rising Junior of Senior in a STEM major.

Location 
Research Triangle Park, NC
