Analytics & Operations Intern

Pay Rate: Undergraduate - $21/hr. and Graduate: $29/hr.
Field of Study: Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Sciences and other related fields of study
Job Description:
UCB is looking for an analytically driven, upper-level undergraduate or graduate student to intern with Market Access and Pricing (MAP) Account Field Organization. Students must have an interest in business development, medical, pharmaceutical, neuroscience, immunology, statistics, or math. The MAP intern will act as a key business partner supporting the MAP Account Management Team and providing key collaboration with Commercial Data Operations, Payer Value Strategy, Contracts and Pricing and Health Economic Outcomes Strategy to enhance strategic decision-making across a complex portfolio and ensure achievement of business objectives to drive business performance.
If you are interested in data and analytics, healthcare economics, and/or operational excellence, an internship with UCB will give you meaningful insights into the process of obtaining formulary access and availability, channel and trade distribution and reimbursement. This is a very exciting opportunity for a young analyst, regardless of experience, to work alongside market access leaders as part of an integrated team.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Providing support to MAP field team performance analytics
  • Support MAP field team in creating scorecards, performance presentations and analytics
  • Development of resources and data review in Excel, Tableau, Power Point, etc.
  • Populating data summary tables from statistical outputs

  • Identifying business opportunities and understanding their financial impact across the organization
  • Practicing fundamental market access analytics
  • Building a foundation of knowledge in market access and pricing
  • Gaining operational and business acumen through exposure to various functions with UCB’s matrix organization
