Statistics Intern (Summer 2023)

Work under the supervision of other Statisticians to help address business issues and opportunities from retail pharmacies using established methodologies and statistical analysis tools. Collaborate with other IQVIA Supplier Services Data Science team members, as necessary.

• Understand and implement tactical study plans, perform quantitative research, and provide written summaries of study results  

• Collaborate with other Statisticians to execute statistical method design, analysis and programming activities  

• Support projects using the previously-defined procedures and practices with supervision  

• Clean, aggregate, and organize large complex data sets for statistical analysis

• Master’s program in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field  

• Intermediate knowledge of SQL using basic aggregations and joins and knowledge of statistical programming languages (SAS, Python, R statistical packages)  

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and visualization software such as Tableau, Spotfire, SAS, R/Python visualization packages  

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and articulate the impact of methodology changes  

• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts  

• Support narrative development with data  

• Excellent presentation & communication skills; both oral and written
