Computational Chemistry Intern
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
We are currently seeking a Master/PhD level student working towards a degree in biochemistry, computational chemistry, or a related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
- Develop machine learning algorithims to predict biophysical and stability features of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and identify molecular descriptors governing these outputs.
- Develop a molecular dynamics simulations method for use in predicting the viscosity and PPIs of mAbs.
- Evaluate protein formulation, characterization and stability testing.
- Develop and apply computational techniques to guide experimental data analysis and predictive models for protein developability properties.
- Make in-depth experimental observations, analyze and interpret experimental results, present scientific data to internal audiences.
Position Requirements:
- Master/PhD level student working towards a degree in biochemistry, computational chemistry, or a related field
- Knowledge and/or experience with computational chemistry, biochemistry, python, MATLAB, MD simulations, machine learning, deep learning.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
