Rampart Internship Summer Program: Math, DSP, Computer Science

Rampart Internship Summer Program
Who are we?
Rampart Communications Inc. is an early stage deep tech company focused on cutting edge research and development in networking, digital signal processing, and wireless communications. Our mission is to make the connected world more safe and more secure for individuals, businesses, and governments. Since 2016, we’ve advanced the bounds of information theory, secured independent validation and patents, and built systems and networks that are revolutionizing secure communications.

Our Values
We believe that privacy is a right.
We endeavor to advance the boundaries of science.
We value personal and professional integrity above all else.

Why Rampart?
We think deeply about simple, foundational challenges in systems, signals, and science. We’re a deep-tech startup: our solutions aren’t the “next best things” in security or communications; they’re advances that were not considered possible, or practical... but we’ve achieved them, built the proofs, and are keen to press our advantage.

We are looking for motivated interns who bring something different to the table, who come with curiosity and talent, and who represent fresh ideas and perspectives. Lastly, and importantly: we are an equal opportunity employer who actively celebrates diversity and who is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

What You’ll Do!
Looking for interns for one of these three areas: Math, Computer Science or Digital Signal Processing. Specifically for internships, we aim to have a small number of well-scoped projects: not busy-work, but guided tasks that have you contributing to Rampart’s mission of research and development and giving you exposure to the broader professional world. You’ll work closely with the founders and principal engineers for your project, so you’ll have plenty of expertise to lean on if and when you encounter new topics or challenges. The Rampart Internship program is a good opportunity to:
  • Experience an early stage company
  • Learn about modern concerns for contested communications environments
  • Work in the new area of physical layer security for communications systems

All interns will:
  • Learn about communications security
  • Contribute to current Rampart technology
  • Learn basics of:
  • LPI/LPD Systems
  • Cryptography
  • LaTeX
  • Version Control
  • CI/CD Testing
  • Technical Writing

Be paired with a mentor and SME in one of the internship areas:
  • Math and Computer Science
  • Digital Signal Processing
