Operations Analyst Intern - Summer 2023, Sacramento, CA

Pacific Seafood offers a unique, 12-week internship program that gives interns the chance to make an immediate impact on our company. Starting with a structured orientation week at our corporate headquarters near Portland, Ore, you’ll be able to meet the team and learn the full scope of our business. Throughout the summer months, you’ll dive deep into a meaningful project for our company, which you’ll then present to our executive leadership team at the end of your internship. This internship will focus on improving the overall operations of our Sacramento location by leveraging data and increasing efficiencies. This individual will partner with team members and others to learn about our current processes, systems, and procedures to identify and implement quantifiable improvements.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Seafood Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) at all times.
  • Partner with team members to develop an understanding of the Sacramento operation through hands-on experience, observation, and analysis
  • Observe and analyze operations using various process improvement methodologies and make recommendations which lead to reduction of cost
  • Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of processes
  • Collect and analyze data to make improvements to the operation
  • Prepare project overview and present findings to executive leadership
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
 
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood
Required
  • Pursuit of a Business Degree or related undergraduate/graduate degree
Preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and methodologies (i.e. LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
