Intern - Linebird

Please note: This is a posting for an internship for one of Lighthouse Labs' alumni companies, Linebird. Please apply directly to michael.beiro@linebird.net.

Linebird is a company that provides products for electrical power utilities and their contractors to take their unmanned aerial systems inspections to the next level: direct contact with live power lines. Our payload systems connect heavy-lifter drones to lineman’s tools to allow users to perform real work on live power lines – not just imaging and mapping from a distance. As we explore our customers’ needs and find ways to solve their problems, we are in constant need to keep research and development moving forward to new products along with the production of our existing payload system and modified tools. Our intern would work to research and discover new sources of R&D funding through public and private sector grants, as well as assist the Linebird team with a variety of work. You should have some familiarity with federal, state, and local grants, research, and the ability to assist with diverse administrative and production tasks. You will learn a lot about our niche business sector in the crossover world of UAS in electrical utilities and gain many skills along the way.
