Cabin Counselor - Youth Counseling and Mental Health- Paid Job/Summer Internship

We pride ourselves on building an inclusive and supportive environment for our female youth athletes to thrive on and off the field. These are the skills that we will help you develop, master and implement this summer, in our Cabin Counselor and Activity Specialist role.

Location: East Otis, Massachusetts
Compensation: Commensurate based on experience
Dates: Approximately June to August

Camp Description: The Berkshire Soccer Academy is an overnight soccer camp for girls. We offer an elite training experience for girls, ages 8-17, in a traditional camp setting on a private lake in the Berkshires. 

Scope of Work: Live and have fun alongside girls aged 8-17 in comfortable cabins with at least one other staff member. Build genuine relationships with our athletes, ensuring we meet their mental, emotional and social needs during their stay. Successful candidates will facilitate "elective" activities such as Yoga, Fire Building, Hiking, Arts and Crafts, Archery, Swimming (No previous experience required - All training provided).

A typical day may begin as early as 7:00AM and end as late as 10:00PM. Position includes 1 day off for every 6 working days and regularly scheduled breaks throughout the day. 

Internship? We are happy to work with any successful applicant and their school to meet the requirements needed so that this valuable experience can be used as credits.

Qualifications :
  • Academic background in counseling, child development or related field prefered
  •  Ability to work both independently and alongside camp’s leadership team
  • Previous camp experience is a plus.
