LNP Screening Technologies and Development Co-op
The LNP Screening Technologies and Development team at Beam Therapeutics is seeking a talented and motivated co-op student to help us discover the next generation of lipid nanoparticles capable of delivering base-editor payloads to different organs and cell types in vivo from January through June of 2023. This role will support the coordination and execution of automated LNP library assemblies, QC assays, and the development of process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute high-throughput LNP screen formulations through automated and semi-automated workflows while coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure timelines are met
- Collaborate with Computational Sciences, Lab Automation, and Analytical Sciences teams to develop process improvements and automate assays
- Ensure high-quality data generation and recording through real-time control tracking/charting via ELN
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a S. or M.S. in a biological or chemical science with at least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
- Experience with the handling and quantification of DNA and RNA
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis
- Experience using lab automation is a plus but not required
- Detail oriented team-player with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate in a cross-functional environment
