Paid Internship - Summer 2023

JAARS Interns is a 10-week opportunity that develops transferable professional skills, cultivates well-rounded growth, and unleashes the world of missions. Interns will help implement current needed projects from beginning to end across various departments at JAARS. He or she will learn how JAARS supports Bible translation and how the department(s) in which he/she is serving accomplishes and contributes to JAARS mission. Each Intern project is designed to contribute to the overall objectives of JAARS. He or she will work closely with other staff to fine-tune projects for maximum effectiveness. 

Project areas of service include:
  • Administration (human resources, events, finance, supply chain, etc.)
  • Children and youth ministry
  • Communications (writing, social media, videography, photography, etc.)
  • Museums (archives, children’s programs, etc.)
  • Technology (computer network, general support, etc.)
  • Transportation (Aviation, Maritime, and Land) 

Job Responsibilities 
  • Accepts designated, mission-focused projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present the final project during the internship
  • Provides ideas to grow and improve departmental effectiveness
  • Assist project team members and management with document preparation and review
  • Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems
  • Provide clerical support to your assigned department 
  • Participate in meetings, phone calls, and video conferences
  • Conduct research into relevant market sectors and trends
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by your project manager

Intern Requirements

  • Completed sophomore year of college
  • A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
  • Embraces the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS and values global ministry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible and team-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various areas

Preferred
  • Working experience with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft Office
