Looking to gain experience working on real world business problems? Interested in the latest tech and want to build your analytical skill? Have a furry best friend or a love for pets? You’ll want to pounce on the oppawtunity to join the 2022 ChewyCase - Virtual Case Competition for Underrepresented Students.
As a participant, you will have the chance to show off your business acumen and critical thinking skills. Create innovative solutions to real-world business challenges to impress our panel of judges to lock in a Summer 2022 Business Internship or for those graduating in 2022, a Full-Time Final Round Interview. There is also a chance to win cash prizes! All participants will snag Chewy swag and be given networking opportunities with our teams across our corporate functions and leaders.
About the Competition:
Chewy is committed to providing the opportunity for mentorship and experiential learning to students from all backgrounds and we are looking forward to working with teams to provide a unique opportunity for professional development and skill building.
As a Case Competition participant, you will be placed into a team of 5 based on a range of complimentary skill sets. Once the competition begins you will have 4 days to accelerate time and deliver results. On Day 4, teams will present to our panel of judges who will assess your ability to think big, operate at depth and put customers first.
Prizes Include:
- Grand Prize = Automatic Summer 2022 Internship Offer or 2022 Full-Time Final Round Interview (students graduating in May 2022) + $1,000 book scholarship per participant
- 2nd Place = $500 book scholarship per participant
- 3rd Place = $250 book scholarship per participant
- All eligible participants will receive the opportunity to interview for relevant positions, Chewy swag, and goodies!
What You'll Need:
- Current enrollment in your 2nd, 3rd or 4th year in a BS/BA degree in Business related field (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, etc.)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Business Acumen and problem-solving skills
- Personally identify as an underrepresented student
- Minimum 2.7 GPA
- Work authorization without current or future sponsorship required
Bonus:
- Exposure to Tableau, SQL or other data analysis tools
- Track record of taking ownership and driving results (projects, internships, or work experience)
- Experience working in a fast paced or ambiguous environment
How to Enter:
- Priority application due by December 3rd
- If selected, complete a 20-minute recruiter phone screen
- Receive an invitation to participate by December 15th
- Confirm you’re in by December 17th
- Get your team assignment and challenge on January 13th
- Work with your team and mentors January 13th – 17th
- Present to panel of judges January 17th!
