Summer 2022 Environmental Projects and Construction Intern

Job Summary

PSE&G EPS - North is seeking one summer intern to work in the Environmental Projects and Services Department at 55 Webro Road, 
Clifton, NJ or 4000 Hadley Road to assist with environmental support for ET&D and utility activities. The position will support the Environmental Project Manager, the Senior Environmental Specialists or Permitting Manager with general administrative tasks, program support and process improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities

The position's responsibilities include assisting the Environmental Projects and Services Group in developing and maintaining documentation related to environmental compliance including: 1.) assistance with preparation of project environmental plans; 2.) assistance in the development of spreadsheets and databases for the tracking of regulatory and compliance data; 3.) assistance to the Project Manager and Senior Environmental Specialist to organize and file shipping manifests; 4.) assist with the drafting of environmental guidance documents; 5.) interact with other company departments, contractors and consultants to support environmental activity; 6.) prepare charts, presentations and process flow diagrams, 6) Permit applications and 7) Biodivseirty initiatives. Candidate should have the desire to work in the environmental field focused on operations and compliance.
 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required: The applicant shall be a student pursuing degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Planning or Geology from an accredited institution. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. PSE&G recognizes institutions of higher education, accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. The Applicant must have good written and oral communication skills, be able to meet deadlines, be well organized, client focused, and demonstrate teamwork. Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, Access, Word and Power Point is needed. In addition, the applicant must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, have a safe driving record and personal transportation.
 
Preferred: GPA 3.0 or higher.
 
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the term of their internship. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students. Transportation and Immigration support will not be provided with this position.
