Process Development Summer Hire Intern

We are a global chemical company and one of the nation's leading manufacturers of agricultural products. Our Hannibal plant is built to manufacture high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. We occasionally have the need for contingent labor, and that's where you come in.
This Process Development Intern position will be responsible for working on multiple projects with process chemists. The process development intern will also support the optimization of BASF’s blockbuster fungicide Revysol, new herbicide Tirexor, and KIXOR herbicide via process improvements, analytical standard synthesis, and waste reduction. Duties include: sample preparation, calculations, running reactions, using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and HRGC, and maintaining laboratory notebook. A final summary presentation will take place at the conclusion of the internship. Qualifications include undergraduate research experience or previous internship, previous organic synthesis experience.
