Seagate - Low Level Read/Write and Diagnostics Firmware Summer Intern

We are seeking an Intern to join our Low Level Read/Write and Diagnostics (LLRW-Diag) firmware team in Longmont, CO. 

About the role - you will:

The LLRW-Diag firmware team is responsible for the design, development, test, and maintenance of the code in the Low Level Read/Write and Diagnostics firmware subsystems. In this role, the candidate would be supporting the team in various assigned tasks such as development/enhancements of diagnostic commands, maintaining/enhancing firmware documentation/tools, resolving machine identified coding issues, etc.

About you:

  • Ability to solve complex and dynamic problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in presenting to groups.
  • Comfortability with and interest in working in fast paced environment of tech industry.
  • Self-motivated with desire to learn.

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related degree and must be returning to school in fall 2022
  • Structured programming skills and excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Proficient in a scripting language (Python)
  • Knowledge in embedded C
 
Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base hourly range for this position: $18-$24.50. Actual hourly range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Interns typically work hours Monday thru Friday between 8am to 5pm. Part-time schedules may flex with academic schedules and availability.
