Seagate - Intern - Wafer Photolithography - Summer 2022

Location:  Bloomington, MN, US

About our group:

Seagate's Wafer Operations Photolithography Process Engineering organization is seeking an Engineering Intern to conduct trials and participate in continuous improvement projects during summer 2022. This position will be located in Seagate’s Bloomington, MN facility. 

About the role - you will:

  • Develop technical understanding of one or more Photolithography process tools used in the wafer manufacturing process, as well as the process responses 
  • Perform process trials, working in a cleanroom environment to complete experiments and process improvements for Seagate’s recording head products 
  • Utilize software tools as needed for data analysis and presentation to complete projects and assist Photo engineers.  

About you:

  • Completed at least two years of a BS degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or Physics.  
  • GPA 3.0 or above  
  • Interest in nano-fabrication processes/operations 
  • Statistics and Data Analysis experience using MatLab, R, Excel, JMP or Python. 
  • Strong Communication skills  
  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed

Our Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate.
