RMV School Bus Program Assistant Co-op Spring 2022

Furthermore, MassDOT will be doing our part to lead by example in reducing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions by minimizing overall workplace commuting travel during peak hours through telework and schedule flexibility.

This position has a high degree of remote flexibility once established in the role. The selected candidate will be expected to follow a hybrid work model that consists of both in-office and work from home days, as needed.

Position Summary:

Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is requesting a Spring Co-Op for 2022 to assist Vehicle Safety and Compliance Services to support new and ongoing projects related to the school bus program. This candidate will:
  • Gather all current school bus driver training material and review to ensure relevance, consistency, up to date, accurate and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the RMV/VSCS has a comprehensive list of School Bus companies that includes current contacts.
  • Ensure the RMV/VSCS has a comprehensive list of 7D companies that include current contacts.
  • Review school transportation pages of the RMV website and determine needs to ensure accuracy, completeness, up to date and consistent information and present needed changes to website changes to program manager for implementation.
  • Document and analyze procedures and standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with School Bus Program staff to design performance metrics to evaluate projects, standard operating procedures, and service level agreements.

Must be enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program for spring 2022.
