2022 EPLM – Strategy & Planning Intern

What you’ll be able to do:

Looking for a phenomenal answer to the question – what did you do this summer? This is it! Through our Summer Internship, you’ll gain the experience, knowledge and skills to take your career to another level. Throughout this 12-week program, you’ll enjoy hands-on involvement in some of the ground-breaking initiatives we’ve got going on. In addition to developing technically and professionally, you’ll be able to build a network of friends and contacts while discovering what it’s like to live, work and play in Dearborn, Michigan.

Enterprise Product Line Management (EPLM) utilizes Product Line Management to take vital actions, with urgency, to optimize portfolio and drive profitable growth with appropriate returns. EPLM raises the returns of underperforming assets where we can via alternative business models; that will lead to shifting capital to higher-return businesses and investments. Strategy & Planning is the organization within EPLM responsible for leading the creation and approval of global advanced product strategy and program planning.


Specifically, this includes:

  • Utilizing human centered design to develop global product strategies
  • Applying these strategies to build actionable product plans that maximize profitability
  • Leading cross-functional teams to execute program direction

These complementary skills enable Strategy & Planning professionals to effectively lead cross-functional teams – including engineering, marketing, finance, purchasing and manufacturing specialists – and to deliver critical projects that improve profitability.

High-performing interns will be considered for a full-time position within the EPLM, Strategy & Planning Leadership Program (SPLP). The SPLP is a 36-month rotational program crafted to build a Strategy skill set preparing the individual for their first off-program assignment with in Enterprise Product Line Management (EPLM).


The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Expected completion of Masters in Business Administration by August 2023
  • Professional work experience gained prior to completion of graduate school (3-5 years preferred)
