About us:
Gold Mountain Coffee Growers is a coffee farming group that directly connects our members with roasters around the world--from farm gates to coffee roasteries. We have our own flagship farm (Finca Idealista) and are on the ground in Nicaragua all the time, maintaining both quality and relationships. Producers earn the right to connect with roasters when their coffee makes the grade in the cupping lab, consistently--fostering healthy competition. We work with member farmers on cutting edge farming, harvesting, and processing techniques to ensure long-term success.

Working with us earns farmers prices that beat certifications, stabilize income in a notoriously difficult agricultural market, and allows a dignified standard of living. We encourage roasters to come visit the farms with which they work to foster direct roaster/producer relationships.

Everything we do depends on excellent-cupping coffee. Our coffees have won the Good Food Awards, Golden Bean medals, and other distinctions as a result of years searching out the best specialty coffees of Nicaragua. A licensed Q grader on staff separately cups every lot broken down by day, producer, parcel, variety, and process (washed, honey, natural, and carbonic maceration) and we meticulously sort and package each of our coffees for maximum quality and longevity. Our staff maintains this quality and transparency along the entire supply chain directly from farms (including our own) to your roastery.

The people and communities behind our coffees are fundamental to what we do. We carry out a number of sustainable development initiatives in the communities in which we are located and work with our member farmers on improving sustainability. Our work was given the excellence award for sustainability by the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE).
