Virtual Internships with a Prestigious Nonprofit—as Few as 3 Hours per Week

Join us as a Public Engagement Intern. Focus on your favorite cause, or on any religious, country, or ethnic community. Work as few as 3 hours per week or as many as you would like. Choose the hours that fit your schedule.

Take a leadership role, use your skills, gain experience, enhance your resume, make new friends, and make a tremendous positive social impact.

Make a tremendous positive difference for the causes or communities you care about. That includes animal welfare, cancer, children, climate change, education, environment, hunger, human rights, mental health, sexual abuse, women, veterans, etc. or the charitable needs of any ethnic group, religious community, city, or country.  

As a nonprofit, our internships are unpaid. However, they are eligible for academic credit or community service credit from many schools, and we are happy to do our part to meet the school's requirements.

We make the experience of a donation, which you can give in a friend’s name, feel like a rewarding present and an appealing alternative to buying and giving yet more unwanted "stuff." In this way, we are starting to channel to nonprofits some of the $450 billion Americans spend each year buying birthday, wedding, holiday, and corporate presents. Imagine how much good we could all do together as more of that money goes to making a difference.

We already work with hundreds of the most prestigious nonprofits in the country, and we are now opening the site to all nonprofits so they can attract additional funding for their important missions. Please let your favorites know that they can register at no cost.

You will use social media, email, marketing tools, community-building, guerilla marketing, and in-person conversations to raise awareness of Changing The Present among:

●     friends, students, student organizations, departments, faculty, and alumni

●     local nonprofits and schools so they can attract new funding

 You can also help launch a Changing The Present club at your school.

We will provide strategic guidance, tips, message templates, downloadable flyers, digital graphics, and other marketing assets for your use. We also welcome your great ideas!

We will have multiple Public Engagement Interns at each school. Our online community will connect you with one another, as well as with those at other schools nationwide. That will let you collaborate, share tips, celebrate your successes, build your network, and make new friends.
