With the Ford College Graduate (FCG) Program, you’ll get your career off to a great start. From the very beginning, you’ll experience a wide variety of rotational, developmental job assignments.
 
Ford Product Development and Research and Advanced Engineering are utilizing Design Thinking & User Experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services that will delight our customers. Our employees are laser-focused on bringing innovative, exciting, and sustainable ideas to life. From autonomy and electrification, to smart mobility technologies, our PD and R&A teams around the world are working together with excitement to make smart vehicles for a smart world.

As part of the 32-month Ford College Graduate (FCG) rotational, developmental program you will be provided with the structure (orientation, training opportunities, experiences and feedback) to enhance your technical and professional competencies. Our goal is to support you and your transition into the high performing, inclusive and engaged workforce needed to meet the product development needs of tomorrow.
 
To begin your program, you are assigned a "home" organization based on your interests, background and our business needs. You will be assigned a mentor, a member of management within your area, to advise and guide you through a core set of developmental assignments related to your home organization. These assignments are structured to develop your skills and help to build your understanding of your home organization and the product creation process. Your development will be further supported by a number of technical and professional training opportunities. Once you complete the program, you will be placed within your home organization to continue building your engineering career and developing technical expertise.


Minimum Requirements for the PD and R&A FCG Program:
 
  • Pursuing Bachelors, Masters or PhD in one of the following fields:
  • Software Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, and other Engineering disciplines in key areas
  • Data Science or similar degree
  • Mathematics, Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics, or similar degree
  • MBA (with an engineering undergraduate degree)
  • 3.0 overall GPA
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Graduation date by September 2021
 
Preferred Requirements:
 
  • 3.4 overall GPA
  • Involvement with Formula SAE or similar extracurricular activities, strong communication skills, ability to work within diverse teams
