Meggitt is a global engineering group specializing in products for extreme environments and smart sub-systems for aerospace, defense and energy markets. Program Overview:
The Meggitt Graduate Program is a rotational leadership development program geared for recent graduates.
 
In the Meggitt Graduate Program, the selected individual will learn about and experience working in the Engineering, the design and make of products and operations in a manufacturing environment. The individual will utilizes their experiences obtained in their respective chosen field and new fields where they can apply their existing skills. You will be assigned a senior leader as mentor that will guide you through the program.
 
The individual selected, depending on background discipline, will be assigned to projects in the following areas.
 
Engineering: fuel systems development, thermal or pneumatic technology roadmap, landing gear monitoring, fire suppression systems development, power systems, composites, system modelling, manufacturing technology and more to develop differentiated technology.
 
Operations: operational excellence, supply chain strategy, advanced manufacturing, manufacturing strategy, manufacturing systems / planning
 
 Individuals will also be assigned to one placement in an area outside of the technical discipline.
 
Job Description
The three-year programme rotates through four nine-month placements:
  • Each placement includes cross-discipline project work and assignments across different divisions.
  • Each placement includes technical and commercial training as well as professional and personal development.
  • One international placement
  • Mentorship from some of the most successful and experienced engineers in the business.
  • Reviews and appraisals at the end of each placement.

Academic Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: MEng, BS, BSc, MS, MSc PhD in Mechanical, Systems, Power Electronics, Aerospace, Hardware or Electronic/Electrical Engineering Disciplines or BS, MS, PhD in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering Disciplines
  • Recent graduates with GPA 3.5 +
  • Individuals who show evidence of leadership qualities and/or team-working ability (can include extra-curricular activities as well as professional).
  • Creative thinkers who can take Meggitt to the next level.

  • Digital manufacturing and industrial techniques
  • Bridging mechanical to electrical systems
  • Higher temperature materials
  • Aeronautics, e.g. laminar flow, anti-icing
  • Operations management and manufacturing
  • Polymers and composites – materials research
  • New manufacturing technologies, e.g. additive manufacturing and CMC
  • Electrical power management and machines
  • Piezo-electric products
  • Equipment monitoring, fault detection and prediction
  • Micro (nano) technologies
·       Generally, people with passion in innovative Engineering.

Notes for applicants
·       Must be able to travel/relocate every 9 months for a 3 year period.

How long has the Program been in operation?
·       We launched our program in 2012.
Will my pay be adjusted with each placement?
·       We do a compensation analysis based upon your discipline and the areas in which you would be placed to ensure you are market competitive throughout your tenure in the program.
How will I be measured for my performance?
·       Just as our internal staff has goals and deadlines to measure for performance, the Graduate Program has goals and milestones attached for reviews as well.
What if I want to enroll in a MBA/MS/PhD program in the next 3 years?
·       Please do keep in mind this is a rotational program and you will be asked to move every 9 months. With that being said, a virtual academic program can be possible, however traditional schools will most likely not be accommodating to your rotations.
What is the interview process?          
·       After you apply via our website, you will have an initial phone interview, one technical phone interview with one of the Program Mentors followed by final panel interviews.
