The Opportunity:
P&G has an opportunity for a PhD intern to work on our Corporate Function R&D business to develop approaches for identifying and resolving potential conflicts between different odor control mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
Independently lead research initiatives to investigate synergies and antagonism between molecular adsorbents and fragrance materials as malodor control strategies for consumer goods.
Develop and recommend a detailed, scientifically-sound technical approach to leverage synergies and/or mitigate antagonism to inform product development, ultimately enhancing product design and business strategy.
Execute research plans in a timely and accountable manner, ensuring adherence to best practices and principles.
Communicate your insights and findings with the team to enhance our collective knowledge and practices.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Working towards a PhD with training in chemistry, materials science, sensory science, or sensor development.
Experience in a field related to volatile organic compounds including any of the below:
Development of, characterization of, and/or selection of molecular adsorbents (MOFs, activated carbon, zeolites, porous materials with high surface areas).
Leveraging sensory science for odor detection.
Development of and/or use of portable sensors for VOC detection.
Available to work a 12-week internship from May/early June to August in the summer of 2026. This role is 5 days a week (M-F) in office at our Mason, Ohio location.
