Career-Ready Mini Internship — Fall 2025

8 week INTENSIVE mini-internship. This is for you if you are thinking about how to be better at landing internships/future employment.

Overview

  • ESG Real Estate Lab is a think tank focused on AI, real estate, finance, and sustainability. Our work spans newsletters, events, research reports, sustainability reports, and student-led programs. We’re seeking motivated interns to join our career-focused mini-internship, designed to give students practical skills and guidance to strengthen their professional presence and network.
  • This internship is a career-development role for students who want actionable insights, hands-on exercises, and personalized guidance to prepare for professional opportunities.

What You’ll Work On

  • Career Mapping & Goal Setting: Define short- and long-term goals, map out career interests, and create a personal 6–12 month action plan.
  • LinkedIn & Personal Branding: Build a professional online presence, grow your network, and develop a content strategy to showcase skills and expertise.
  • Networking & Informational Interviews: Learn how to reach out to professionals, alumni, and industry contacts; practice networking techniques.
  • Interview Preparation: Gain confidence through mock interviews, behavioral question practice, and tips for virtual and in-person interviews.
  • Professional Communication & Workplace Readiness: Email etiquette, meetings, workplace culture, and productivity strategies.
  • Applications & Job Search Strategy: Identify opportunities, track applications, and develop a repeatable workflow to maximize success.
  • Career Action Plan & Wrap-Up: Present your personalized plan, receive mentor feedback, and define next steps for internships and jobs.

  • Skills: Motivated to learn, organized, strong written communication, and proactive in seeking guidance.
  • Mindset: Curious, goal-oriented, collaborative, and open to feedback and iteration.
  • Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students of all majors. Diverse perspectives are valued.

  • By the end of this mini-internship, you will have:

Details

  • Timeline: Fall 2025, starting Monday, October 6, for 8 consecutive weeks
  • Format: Remote (weekly 30-minute sessions; optional exercises outside class)
  • Commitment: ~30–60 minutes/week
  • Compensation: Unpaid
